Frequently Asked Questions

Why are parks limited to 6:30 p.m. pick up?
When you have your party at a park you are operating under the city's and state's laws. All official parks are closed at 6 p.m. so we close and pick up when the park dictates to the citizen's the park's close time. If you want your party to go later. Then, you will have to file a formal request with the city in order for us to be able to pick after 6:30 p.m.

This documentation needs to be forwarded to us before we will change the schedule.

Bounce Around Jax properly licensed?

Yes.  We have all comprehensive State and County required licenses.

How much room do I need?
Approximately an 18' x 20' area should be plenty of room for a bounce house, a 20’ x 20’ for a combo and 16’ x 36’ for a large slide. The area should be level, free of rocks, dirt, sand, sticks etc. and any in ground sprinkler systems should be shut off and not protruding.  The unit must be within 80 feet of an outlet.  We also ask that you please clean up the area in which the funhouse or slide is to be placed.

What if I want the inflatable setup where there is no electrical outlet, or at least no outlet within 80 feet?
We can setup your moonwalk virtually anywhere.  We will need to bring a generator in order to power the blower (see  the 5th q&a below).  Keep in mind that there is a $50 additional charge for generator rental.

Who sets up the inflatable?
We set up the bouncer or slide and take it down when we come to pick it up.  Set up time is approximately 15-20 minutes (25-30 for a slide or combo).  We ask that if you are done with the bouncer or slide please do not shut down the blower.  The Moonwalk or slide unit must be inflated before it is taken down so that we can inspect and possibly do a preliminary cleaning of the unit.  Pick up time is usually 20-30 minutes (40-45 min for slides and combos).  * All of our delivery personnel have gone through standard criminal background checks for your safety.

How does the inflatable unit stay inflated?
We setup the unit and inflate the moonwalk or slide with a fully enclosed blower motor unit that must stay on the entire time that the inflatable unit is being used (unless winds exceed 20mph, then it must be shut down). The design of the blower is such that no moving parts are exposed. This is a very important safety feature that you should take into account when children are around. The blower unit must be located within 80 feet of an electrical outlet(we can bring a generator to power the blower; however there is an additional $50 charge).

Do you require a deposit?
Yes. We do require a $75.00 deposit using a Visa or MasterCard. This deposit is credited towards your total bill. If you cancel within 21 days of your event the $75.00 deposit is non-refundable. We would rather you reschedule your event. Larger events require a 25% deposit.  If you cancel within 21 days of your event this payment is non-refundable. You can reschedule your event. If you need to cancel outside the 21 days and you have paid your deposit via a credit card we will have to assess a $10 credit card transaction fee.  For further detail call 904-642-9999.

What is your weather policy?
AN INFLATABLE MUST NOT BE USED WHEN WET INSIDE and/or WHEN WINDS ARE 20 MPH OR MORE.  This is a very important safety issue.

Wind – If the local weather is forecasted sustained winds of 15-20+ mph (with higher gusts) on your event day and both you and Bounce Around Jax, Inc. agree before delivery/set up that it may be unsafe to use then we will cancel the rental with no charge to you.  We reserve the right to cancel your rental.

Rain – If the local weather is forecasted 70% or higher chance of rain, we reserve the right to cancel your rental.  An inflatable should not be used when raining or wet (with exception of a waterslide).  If the inside of the bounce unit gets wet everyone should exit the bounce.  When a bouncer or combo unit becomes wet, it is very slippery and dangerous. Once the rain stops you can then dry the unit with towels. Once dry, the bounce should be once again safe to use.

* Note – We may cancel the rental the day prior or the morning of delivery if there’s a 70% or higher chance of rain and/or 15-20+ mph sustained winds (with higher gusts).  In this case, we will contact you the day prior or morning of your event to discuss any weather related issues. Feel free to also contact us with any weather policy questions.
** Please call us at (904) 642-9999 if you have weather related questions once your unit has been setup.  No refunds will be given once the inflatable has been setup.

Can a bouncer be set up indoors?
Yes, our units can be set up inside or outside.  You will need to have enough ceiling height (about 20’) to accommodate the inflatable.  The bouncer must not be too near hot lights, a/c vents or any fire hazard. Many commercial halls, malls, gyms, etc. will do just fine.

Can I set up the inflatable near my pool?
Because safety is our number one concern, the bouncer or slide must be set up a safe distance away from a pool or water front; at least 30 feet.

Are your inflatables clean?
Yes!  Cleanliness is part of safety initiative. We clean and disinfect our inflatables and all of our equipment (concession machines, tables, chairs, etc) every week at our warehouse.  We vacuum, spray and wipe/scrub using a high quality cleaner / disinfectant.

How safe are your inflatables?
Our inflatables are constructed with quality and safety in mind.  All of our bouncer units have the “child safety ramp/step” for safe & easy entry/exit; they are constructed from very durable commercial grade vinyl with double and quadruple stitching.  ALL of our inflatables meet or exceed ATSM rental industry standards.  Each of our inflatables is equipped with a non-removable list of rules. We will also supply recommended guidelines for safe use and recommended number of children that should be allowed to use the unit at one time.  Beware of low-grade, unsafe inflatables and sub-standard rental operators!  All rental inflatables SHOULD meet ATSM standards.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?

A: Yes and no.  You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units.  Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time.  If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation.  If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower etc which can cost thousands of dollars.  We don´t want you or us to be in that situation which is why we have you sign and initial on all of our safety rules so that you can be the trained operator.
